Haussmann Thinwave Hand-Carved Solid Wood End Table — 12 x 14 and 14 x 14-Inch Tops, 20-Inch Height
Couldn't load pickup availability
Haussmann's Thinwave end table is hand-carved in Thailand from a single solid block of monkeypod wood. Its sculptural Thinwave design and individual grain make every piece unique. Choose a 12 x 14 or 14 x 14-inch top at a 20-inch height and Walnut or Oak finish. Available size and finish combinations are shown above.
A solid wood side table with its own character
Use this sculptural wood accent table beside a sofa or chair, as a bedside table, or as a display pedestal for a lamp, bowl, or plant. The open Thinwave form gives the substantial solid wood piece a lighter visual feel. Each piece is carved from one wood block rather than assembled from laminated boards, and arrives fully assembled.
Hand-carved monkeypod wood
The material is solid monkeypod (Samanea saman), also called rain tree and marketed in the US as acacia. Haussmann's artisans in Thailand kiln-dry, rough-shape, and hand-carve the wood. Grain, knots, natural checks, mineral streaks, and chainsaw or chisel marks vary from piece to piece. Some areas may be smoothed or repaired with wood glue mixed with sawdust during finishing.
Two wood finishes
Walnut and Oak describe the finish colors, not different wood species. Each table is monkeypod wood finished with OSMO Wood Wax Finish. The translucent finish lets the natural grain and underlying wood tones show through, so the shade of your table will vary from the photographs.

Common questions
Is this end table real solid wood?
Yes. The Thinwave is hand-carved from a solid monkeypod wood block. It is not a veneer-covered table or a flat-pack kit. Wood glue mixed with sawdust may be used for repairs during finishing.
Will my table look exactly like the photographs?
The Thinwave design and selected size and finish will match your choice. The grain, knots, natural checks, tool marks, and finished shade vary, making every table individual.
Which size should I choose?
Measure beside the sofa, chair, or bed where the table will sit. Choose the 12 x 14 or 14 x 14-inch top that suits your intended use. Both sizes are 20 inches tall.
Are Walnut and Oak different woods?
No. Walnut and Oak are finish names on this listing. Every finish is applied to solid monkeypod wood.

Care & Maintenance — how to look after this piece
Effortless -- from selection / ordering to arrival, it was fast! Items were double-boxed and in perfect condition. Just needed a bit of beeswax and oil and now look terrific!
Beautiful heavy wood that is extremely solid
Beautiful table! It is HEAVY and you can tell its quality wood. At first it arrived damaged, likely from shipping. The wood snapped completely in half. Messaged the seller and they were super quick to respond, and sent me a replacement. The replacement came about a week later and the packaging was way more secure. Love this table, it completes my little reading corner and it’s so beautiful! Would definitely recommend!
Such unique pieces to have in our living area. We ordered two of them, and as described, each is slightly different from the other. They are less ‘finished’ than I expected, but are quite beautiful. I’m very, very happy with them.
This item looks better in person than it does on Etsy! It’s high quality and shipped in such a way that it could withstand a nuclear explosion. 10/10.
I’ve purchased several times from this seller. The craftsmanship is amazing.
Really cool piece , beautiful and well made , very heavy and sturdy and the color is amazing
Gorgeous unique end tables for our living room!
Wow. Amazing piece. It turns out even better than I expected!
Great - and very heavy.
Beautiful table! High quality, perfect height to put next to the couch. Will definitely be keeping this forever
Both look amazing. The Perfect pedestal
Beautiful piece, I’m very pleased.
This is a beautiful piece of functional art!!! It’s a super sturdy, hearty and beautiful piece of wood. That also means it’s super heavy! Challenging but in a good way.
Really love this table and as a place in its forever home.
Thank you!
ETSY, I ordered two tables and stored them within our home (air-conditioned) while our addition was being finished, approximately six weeks. Upon opening the tables, we found both completely covered in mold and mildew. My husband spent several hours wiping and cleaning them off with a wet rag and cleaner. Now there is NO finish on the tables and, after reaching out to the seller multiple times, he has only suggested that we use a wax to replace the finish. It is completely impossible to wax these tables given their curve. My hand, as a 5’3” woman, will not fit in the grooves and of course my husband’s will not either. This is a ridiculous and ludicrous response given the state of the tables, and is completely unacceptable.
I have requested a complete refund on both of these tables, but the seller is unwilling. Pls advise ETSY!!!
As pictured. Solid wood material. Beautifully crafted and beautifully designed.
Better than I expected. I love it.
Simply stunning! It’s sturdy (and very heavy) which is perfect for our house or zoomie animals who like to knock things over!
Amazing piece - excited to get it placed.
This side table is a work of art. It fits perfectly with my mid-centery design. On top of that, it was extremely affordable and was delivered quickly. I highy recommend purchaing work from Haussmann.
