Haussmann Original Twist Hand-Carved Solid Wood End Table — 12-Inch Square, 18/20/23/26-Inch Heights
Couldn't load pickup availability
Haussmann's Original Twist end table is hand-carved in Thailand from a single solid block of monkeypod wood. Its sculptural spiral design and individual grain make every piece unique. Choose a 12-inch square top with an 18, 20, 23, or 26-inch height and Walnut, Oak, Mocha, or Agate Grey finish. Available size and finish combinations are shown above.
A solid wood side table with its own character
Use this sculptural wood accent table beside a sofa or chair, as a bedside table, or as a display pedestal for a lamp, bowl, or plant. The open twist gives the substantial solid wood form a lighter visual feel. Each piece is carved from one wood block rather than assembled from laminated boards, and arrives fully assembled.
Hand-carved monkeypod wood
The material is solid monkeypod (Samanea saman), also called rain tree and marketed in the US as acacia. Haussmann's artisans in Thailand kiln-dry, rough-shape, and hand-carve the wood. Grain, knots, natural checks, mineral streaks, and chainsaw or chisel marks vary from piece to piece. Some areas may be smoothed or repaired with wood glue mixed with sawdust during finishing.
Four wood finishes
Walnut, Oak, Mocha, and Agate Grey describe the finish colors, not different wood species. Each table is monkeypod wood finished with OSMO Wood Wax Finish. The translucent finish lets the natural grain and underlying wood tones show through, so the shade of your table will vary from the photographs.

Common questions
Is this end table real solid wood?
Yes. The Original Twist is hand-carved from a solid monkeypod wood block. It is not a veneer-covered table or a flat-pack kit. Wood glue mixed with sawdust may be used for repairs during finishing.
Will my table look exactly like the photographs?
The twist design and selected size and finish will match your choice. The grain, knots, natural checks, tool marks, and finished shade vary, making every table individual.
Which height should I choose?
Measure beside the sofa, chair, or bed where the table will sit. Choose the 18, 20, 23, or 26-inch height that suits your intended use. All four sizes have a 12 x 12-inch top.
Are Walnut and Oak different woods?
No. Walnut and Oak are finish names on this listing. Every finish is applied to solid monkeypod wood.

Care & Maintenance — how to look after this piece
Deceptive business practice would be my first response. Seller indicates his business is from Wisconsin, (which it is), (I guess), but the video and description create the belief that the product is also. It is from Thailand. It is a well made quality product and I certainly would recommend. Just know it is not made in the USA.
didn’t like how it looks … bad polish which is done halfway And there are oil finger prints all over on one side
I purchased one of these years ago & I love it. I needed a taller one. It came within just a few days. I just opened it & it’s lovely. There are some imperfections. But you expect that on a piece such as this. It looks great in our space. I love the variation in color. It’s great!
This is an amazing work of art, craftsmanship, wood selection, finish and color along with function for such a beautiful table. Thank you!
I ordered three of these tables. They’re all nice but I did need to varnish them. One arrived covered in mold. I sent photos to the seller six days ago with no reply.
Great bench.
The craftsmanship on this side table is excellent. It came very well-packed, with no damage. The color and finish are perfect. I'm so glad I took a chance and bought this!
Wow, just wow. These are amazing. I ordered two as end tables. They arrived well packaged and were shipped quickly. They are an incredible addition to my living area. I added a marble top to them. I plan to order more!
I am absolutely in love with this item. It’s perfect!!!!!
Such a unique piece. Very heavy and sturdy.
This table is beautiful - better than pictured! It arrived promptly and in great shape. These sellers clearly take pride in their craft. We love our new table!
Great side table, will order more
Beautiful and high quality product.
I've needed a side table for the chair near my bed for years. This is perfect. Unique, yet complements our other furniture. Small footprint means I haven't stubbed my toe getting out of bed in the middle of the night yet!
Great experience and fantastic product
Everything was great
I love walnut and this is a beautiful piece of furniture. I definitely would recommend this vendor to anyone who is looking for an organic piece of furniture.
This is my second purchase . Unique piece of furniture.
Love the purchase! A high quality item that is as heavy and substantial as it appeared on the site.
Just what I was looking for: a unique, small stool for the entryway
Nice table at a reasonable price
Bought this as a gift for my brother, that didn’t want a side table, but loved it. Excellent quality. Made a great gift.
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. I'm very pleased with it.
It’s perfect! I was so worried because I’m the kind of person who needs to look through the whole inventory to pick out the best one…which of course you can’t do online. They sent just what I was hoping for: Walnut finish with slightly more subtle light areas than what is shown in the pics. What a fun addition to the living room! The shipping was prompt and the table was well packaged. Thanks!!
Beautiful piece of wood. Exceeded my expectations. Thank you!
This is my fifth stand from this company and they have all been great quality. The customer service was quick and expedient when I had a problem with the product. Highly recommend.
It's a beautiful piece. My wife and I love it we set our 60th anniversary clock on it and it goes perfectly with the clock. And it is solid wood which makes it very sturdy. Did I mention, we love it!
I really appreciate the artistry and the fair price! Thank you!
