Haussmann Double Twist Hand-Carved Solid Wood End Table — 15/18-Inch Square, 20/23-Inch Heights
Couldn't load pickup availability
Haussmann's Double Twist end table is hand-carved in Thailand from a single solid block of monkeypod wood. Two spirals wind around the column and meet at a square top, and the grain of every piece is individual. Choose a 15-inch square top at 20 inches high or an 18-inch square top at 23 inches high, both in a walnut finish. Available size and finish combinations are shown above.
A sculptural solid wood side table for any room
Use this sculptural wood accent table beside a sofa or chair, as a bedside table, in an entry, or as a display pedestal between chairs. The open double spiral gives the solid wood form a lighter visual feel. Each piece is carved from one solid block rather than assembled from laminated boards, and it is a single solid piece with no assembly.
Hand-carved monkeypod wood
The material is solid monkeypod (Samanea saman), also called rain tree and marketed in the US as acacia. Haussmann's artisans in Thailand kiln-dry the wood without chemical treatment, carve it by hand, and finish it by hand. Grain, knots, natural checks, and tool marks vary from piece to piece. They are signs of real solid wood, not flaws, and no two tables are exactly alike. Some areas may be smoothed or repaired with wood glue mixed with sawdust during finishing.
Walnut finish
Walnut describes the finish color, not a different wood species. The table is monkeypod wood finished with OSMO Wood Wax Finish. The translucent finish lets the natural grain and underlying wood tones show through, so the shade of your table will vary from the photographs.

Common questions
Is this end table real solid wood?
Yes. The Double Twist is hand-carved from a solid monkeypod wood block. It is not a veneer-covered table or a flat-pack kit. Wood glue mixed with sawdust may be used for repairs during finishing.
Will my table look exactly like the photographs?
The twist design and selected size and finish will match your choice. The grain, knots, natural checks, tool marks, and finished shade vary, making every table individual.
Which height should I choose?
Measure beside the sofa, chair, or bed where the table will sit. Choose the 20 or 23-inch height that suits your intended use. The 20-inch table has a 15 x 15-inch top and the 23-inch table has an 18 x 18-inch top.
Is Walnut a different wood?
No. Walnut is the finish name on this listing. The finish is applied to solid monkeypod wood.

Care & Maintenance — how to look after this piece
Very disappointing experience. I purchased two solid wood tables for about $750, and both developed multiple recurring white powdery spots within weeks, raising health concerns about possible mold or insects. When I contacted the seller, I received a two-page PDF discussing mold and wood-boring insects, including suggested treatments, which suggests these are known potential issues. None of this was disclosed in the listing before purchase. I requested a full refund and prepaid return shipping but received repeated generic responses without a resolution. The tables are beautiful, but I’m very disappointed in both the product quality and customer service.
Need more. The quality is exceptional. Gives character to the area. Art that’s functional.
My third purchase from Haussmann. I bought 2 smaller twist stools last year for living room and was very pleased with quality. This year I wanted a heavier piece to compliment a mid century sofa. I ordered the 18"wide, 23" high end table and couldn't be more pleased. Thank you so much.
This looks great on the website. But what shows up when delivered is even better. Couldn't be more happy with how it looks - the shape, the color, the wood grain on top... I've had people walk into our family room and almost do a double-take and then ask where we got them. They're just so striking...a craftsman's work of art. They're also much more sturdy than I would have expected based on the picture alone. My wife and I had been looking for months for end tables (shopping in retail furniture stores and online). We couldn't find something both of us liked. I've never been on Etsy, but decided to try it and found these. Instantly we both knew we were through looking and ordered them. Delivery was delayed (a FedEx issue) as they got stuck in a FedEx facility in MN during the winter storm. But even during that Haussmann was great to work with, staying engaged with us until we finally got them. We are one happy customer on every level...or make that two because both of us are.
Stunning piece for my eclectic living room. Weighs 65 lbs so very sturdy. Using as a side table for recliner.
The tables were better than the pictures, we’re so pleased with the purchase.
Shipping was very quick and the tables were well packaged and as described. I would recommend after this purchase.
Beautiful table! Looks great in my family room!
One of a kind.
Gorgeous table. It is a work of art. But too heavy to bring up to our third floor where we wanted to have it.
Table was as expected. I waxed it with Feed and Wax, which brought out the luster of the wood. Regular furniture polish didn’t work so well. I also added a round glass top.
We are so happy with this table! Excellent quality. The size is perfect for our small living room. The service was exceptionally smooth and fast shipping. We could not have been more pleased.
Excellent product !!!!
I Love my new tables. Beautiful...so very pleased...I may buy more!!
