Haussmann Double Twist Hand-Carved Solid Wood End Table — 14-Inch Square, 23/26/30-Inch Heights
Couldn't load pickup availability
Haussmann's Double Twist end table is hand-carved in Thailand from a single solid block of monkeypod wood. Two flowing spirals form its open sculptural base, and individual grain makes every piece unique. Choose a 14-inch square top with a 23, 26, or 30-inch height. The 23- and 26-inch sizes are offered in Walnut; the 30-inch size is offered in Walnut, Oak, and Agate Grey. Available combinations are shown above.
A solid wood side table with its own character
Use this sculptural wood accent table beside a sofa or chair, as a bedside table, or as a display pedestal for a lamp, bowl, or plant. The open double twist gives the substantial solid wood form a lighter visual feel. Each piece is carved from one wood block rather than assembled from laminated boards, and arrives fully assembled.
Hand-carved monkeypod wood
The material is solid monkeypod (Samanea saman), also called rain tree and marketed in the US as acacia. Haussmann's artisans in Thailand kiln-dry, rough-shape, and hand-carve the wood. Grain, knots, natural checks, mineral streaks, and chainsaw or chisel marks vary from piece to piece. Some areas may be smoothed or repaired with wood glue mixed with sawdust during finishing.
Three wood finishes
Walnut, Oak, and Agate Grey describe the finish colors, not different wood species. Each table is monkeypod wood finished with OSMO Wood Wax Finish. The translucent finish lets the natural grain and underlying wood tones show through, so the shade of your table will vary from the photographs.

Common questions
Is this end table real solid wood?
Yes. The Double Twist is hand-carved from a solid monkeypod wood block. It is not a veneer-covered table or a flat-pack kit. Wood glue mixed with sawdust may be used for repairs during finishing.
Will my table look exactly like the photographs?
The twist design and selected size and finish will match your choice. The grain, knots, natural checks, tool marks, and finished shade vary, making every table individual.
Which height should I choose?
Measure beside the sofa, chair, or bed where the table will sit. Choose the 23, 26, or 30-inch height that suits your intended use. All three sizes have a 14 x 14-inch top.
Are Walnut and Oak different woods?
No. Walnut and Oak are finish names on this listing. Every finish is applied to solid monkeypod wood.

Very happy with our table
Great end table looks fabulous with our new den furniture.
Haussmann products like this end table are hand-crafted from solid wood. As such, it arrives in one piece, it's solid, heavy, there are no rough edges, no cracks or joints, and it should last quite a while. Something that's hard to come by these days when trying to buy furniture online. It looks exactly as shown in the images. Shipping estimate was a bit long but then it arrived quite a bit earlier than that estimate. All in all, would recommend
This a beautiful and unique table. Perfect for end table by love seat.
The product is high quality and beautiful.
The piece is absolutely lovely and would recommend it to anyone looking for an unusual item to enhance their home.
Exactly as described and exactly what we were looking for.
Absolutely beautiful pieces!! Definitely recommend!
Beautiful. A work of art and a lovely addition to any home. I wish it had been made in the USA - as I thought - rather than Thailand. I like to support small businesses who manufacture in the USA, Britain, or Europe. However, this product is well made and very high quality.
The piece is beautiful except that the top of it looks foggy in a way that is difficult to accurately describe. I do not know if it was caused by the stain or something going on with the wood at the time it was stained but the wood grain looks like it has a milky finish which is not how it should look. It is too heavy to return and it is a very interesting piece so I am considering another coat of stain on the top. I plan to consult with my cabinet guy to see what he recommends.
The piece is beautiful and was packaged extremely well so it was well protected in shipping. What I failed to ask prior to purchase is whether the piece had any polyurethane coating on it. I am considering adding some kind of finish - although I'll be searching for one that soaks in rather than creating a sheen on top - but you might want to have that as an option. My stand is located in a tinted but bright window and I think a coating would be helpful for cleaning and protection.
This one is even more beautiful than the 30" that I ordered. I love how the wood is so unique to each piece.
This is absolutely beautiful. I love everything about it, so much that I bought the 26" as well. Just received that one yesterday, and it's also gorgeous :-)
This is a beautiful piece and arrived in just a couple of days. The craftsmanship is impeccable. This is extra special as I bought it for a stand for my husband's urn and it's perfect.
This item was even more stunning in person than it was in the pictures. I am so happy and so amazed, the artisans did a wonderful job creating these and they get so many compliments. Thank you for a job well done.
